I can understand people not liking it. The way you put it, is the exact reaction that pisses me off. Its the same thing as when people hear the music we all listen to and they say its just noise and they are just screaming nonsense about the devil. It just seems like a really immature way too put it. I can understand if you arent into combat sports or stuff like that, then its understandable that you wouldnt like it. I also agree that alot of jerk offs "jock" the sport, but the majority of them are just looking for brawls ending in a vicious KO. I love a KO as much as the next guy but there is so much more to the sport than that. Fights can have many different situations. The sport blew up because of little known family(at the time little known) called the Gracies started submitting people who were twice their size and no one saw it coming. JiuJitsu, Wrestling, Sambo, Judo etc may look "gay" but they can be lethal with the right training.

ive seriously have tried to get into it, idk, i just couldnt, its too full contact for me to get into it, they roll around way too much every time i watch it and i get tired of seeing that...

wrestling and martial arts are alright to watch though

I think there might be a little more to it than a "style contest". If that was the case, they would go in by themselves and do a bunch of moves and try and look cool. I've always been a fan of violent physical contact, participating or spectating. It's fun to fuck shit up with nothing but your hands and feet.

MMA is not a style contest. Nowadays its rare for one person to dominate with one set style. Thats why its called Mixed Martial Arts.

Very true. When you consider the fact that "brawlers" like Kimbo Slice and Tank Abbott (i.e. guys who are just looking to punch the other guy out) have never been terribly successful in MMA, it seems obvious that there is a science to winning.

I also get bored when two guys spend every round rolling on the mat trying to submit each other, but I do think the referees are getting better about breaking things up when the fight is at an obvious stand-still.

And I agree that even casual fans of MMA should check out that Mark Kerr film. It gives you another perspective on the sport and how some guys crack under the strain.
